Thank you to the many people who have shown interest in joining a collective to purchase Coldstream Aerodrome, and especially to those who have indicated they are willing to contribute substantial amounts toward the purchase.
In the weeks since our first pizza night Matt and I have held meetings with potential buyers, competitive buyers, pilots and owner/operators. We are now well-placed to make a run at acquiring the airport on behalf of us all, and we need to make one final push to see what our collective financial strength is.
We also have a solid idea of the number of people interested and amounts, thus we are now able to suggest precise structures of any collective ownership group we create.
We are now aware of other parties who are coming for the airport too, and have specific, explicit intentions to raise rents significantly. Change is in the air, and if we don’t buy Coldstream and take control, somebody else will - this we are now certain of.
To discuss all of the above, we propose another info night at the Flyers Club on 22nd August at 6pm.
We’ll have a lot more detail on what is achievable now, and need you to come prepared too with what you could contribute.
