Activity at the club has been consistent over the last few months with good weather most weeks and weekends with many out and about. Congratulations to the CFC Comp team that took on the inter-club competitions and came away with a back to back win. Let’s hope we can get the trifecta next year. “Well Done”.
Friday nights get-togethers seem to be well attended and consistent as well and seeing that is always good.
The important thing as the membership year comes to an end and we are getting close to our A.G.M, One major change that will affect us all is our membership fee increase.
This has come about due to the club having to take out a hangar insurance policy. This cover is for its members and their visitors while around the airfield. The operators of the airfield have for some time now had concerns and we on the committee agree this is the responsible action to take. The club has always maintained a low fee structure and will always keep it fair but as the club grows so will the costs around it. I believe our low fee structure is in comparison to other like club/organisations.
Annual Renewal subs are now as follows:
I’m looking forward to seeing you all at the A.G.M and to another year of great fun and tales around the CFC fire ” Thanks, Chuck ” Its an Awesome winter addition “.
Regards and Happy cloud dancing.

Hi to you all , it’s been Chocks away, and another year has flown by.
The weather has been fun this year but none the less many days have been great for flying.
The Friday nights have had steady attendances and at times many have turned out to socialize. That is an important part of any club, and may it continue to grow. The PFE,s and PWE ‘s have also been well attended and much fun has been had by those that attended .
The Blues train weekend was a success and looked like fun , as the photos and video showed !!
The wings night also had a terrific attendance of 85 and was a great night to be involved in. congratulations to all that received an award or two and to those that organized and helped out.
It was our pleasure to have Scott Taberner and his wife Emma along and to hear about Scotts aviation career as Lame ,Antiquer / restorer and Airline Pilot .
What about next year.
We would like to see the club competitionsresurrected At ycem – CFC and also look to getting the Inter-club comps going again . PAC have to have a chance at getting the trophy back. Also I believe Mal Andrews will have the order book out for some club clothing etc early in the year, so get your order in fly the club colors.
I would like to thank the committee of loyal People that always do a fantastic job for another good year. Special mention to Colin for always getting the information out and keeping it coming out. It’s a thankless task that we all appreciate Col.
We were also informed of the flying activities of the Pakenham and District Aircraft Radio Control
Society. They operate model aircraft with wingspans up to 3 metres, others at speeds
exceeding 200kph, at heights to base of CTZ, ie, 8500′, 7 days a week. The location of their base is 30 Fowler
Rd Cardina and it is marked on the VTC with “paper plane symbol” and an ‘M’.
Be aware of where they fly, how high fast and large they can be.
There will be a lot of activity on the weekend 6 and 7th Nov when they have a rally and competitions.
Really 8500′ !!!!!!!
